You will be pleased to hear that I have finished my carving of a mermaid figurehead. She measures 17 inches in length, 7 inches wide and stands 12 inches high.
I am so proud and excited as she is just as I had perceived her to be and somebody out there will win her.
The tickets cost just £2 and the money from this goes to helping me pay for The Gloucester Stone Carving Festival.
Here are few close ups and my masons mark is in the centre of the first photo.
The draw takes place on Monday 27th May at 3pm which is also when the auction and prize giving takes place. It will be on the main stage in the docks and there will be banners directing you to the auction.
If you would like to buy a raffle ticket but can’t make the event then cheques can be made payable to ‘The Gloucester Stone carving Festival’ and sent to Cat’s Eye Carving, Taurus Crafts, The Old Park, Lydney Park Estate, Lydney. Glos. GL15 6BU
